Chequered wing badges.

Am I dreaming or were the chequered/union flag wing badges as fitted by mgr made of metal or plastic??



Reason I'm asking is I just bought two off eBay as described as being genuine but when they arrived they're plastic and a bit smaller than I can remember.



Pretty sure the ones i had on my Y reg Mgf were metal.
