Electrical problems?

Hi all, hoping you can help.



I have a 75 Tourer, 1.8T, Hightline, 03 plate. I love it, but it has been misbehaving a bit.



Having some electrical problems:



- the indicator lights inside the dash panel sometimes don't work and sometimes appear to get stuck flashing either left or right. I think the indicator lights on the car body still illuminate ok though, certainly they all work when inspecting the car with the hazards on. I've not been able to check them while this fault is actually occuring.



- the wife's keyfob stopped working completely, and sometimes attempting to lock the car with my fob results in the single beep 'door obstruction' tone. Then it will just start working again later in the day.



- the boot completely stopped unlocking for a couple of days, it's fine again now after I removed the rubber seal on the catch button



- the wipers came on in the dry yesterday, then returned to normal



All of these symptoms are very intermittent.



Had a read of the excellent info on these boards and will try to check the plenum drains later (although I'm a novice with cars).



Also read that a battery reset might help?
