MGF Airbag batch codes - manufacture dates?

Hi everyone,



I wondered if anyone knows the answer to this question please?



I am in the process of changing the driver's airbag on my 1998 MGF (due to the 15 year alleged lifespan of the airbags) and I'm unsure if the airbag is the original one fitted to the car.



The batch code on the existing driver's airbag is 239815 so I'm not sure if this is from 1998 as per the car, or if it is a later airbag.



I have bought a replacement airbag which came from a 2001 MGF and this has batch code 45101.



The car does not appear to have been involved in an accident as the paintwork behind the bumpers is original and unmarked.



Does anyone know how I can work out the manufacture date of the existing airbag based on the batch code of 239815 please?
