K series now won't start after being in storage

Hello all,



My MG has been working fine. It has stood for a good 6 months or so. Now, it won't start! :( It doesn't even attempt to start.



Things I have checked;



- New battery (just turns and turns)

- There is fuel - plenty and you can smell it / wet plugs after cranking

- There is a spark

- Timing seems to be correct

- Compression on 3 cylinders is around 175 - compression on the other is 135.

- Checked hot wire connection / replaced plugs



Before trying to resolve the problem, the engine wasn't cranking over smoothly. I'd estimate after every 2 revolutions. It'll turn over then stop, turn, then stop. After removing plugs, putting back, it now turns over freely...



Any help will be much appreciated!
