rover streetwize central locking problems??

hi there lads,

having a bit of trouble with my 53 plate 1.4 rover streetwize,

the central locking was working fine on the fob untill the other day when i re-aligned the tailgate then washed the car after!

what is happening now is that when i try to lock the car with the fob the central locking motors are making a noise (driver side and passenger side) (passenger side door not even opening though, seams to be deadlocking) but then the 25 amp fuse blows under the bonnet and i have to replace it for the car to start up again,

i have been reading about problems like this leading back to the tailgate wireing rubbing through on the bodywork? and also the 5AS black box at the driverside above the fusebox burning out a peice of solder on the circuit board?

what would you guys recommend i look at first or have any of you had this problem before and could pinpoint somthing for me to look at???
