Air in my coolant tank

Hiyas :)



Some of you may know already but I've been having issues with air in my coolant tank. Every time before I set off for a journey I have to undo the cap and let out the air...

but on Sunday when I opened the cap as normal before setting off, it didn't hiss and the coolant didn't come bubbling back up to the normal level... so I haven't driven it since :(



any suggestions on what I might be? Saint Jerry suggested maybe a new tank... but I have a feeling it might not work and I don't want to waste unnecessary money.
