Black carbon build up

Evening folks



Well i carried out my oil and filter change today to try and quiet down a slightly noisy tappet, all went ok but I used some Wynns Hydraulic Valve Lifter treatment too but after using the wynns the crusty carbon deposit under the oil cap was cracking up!



I had my finger in there for about a hour digging out the loose crusty bits!



bit worried now about these getting in the engine :( is this normal after using the wynns treatment?
