brake caliper slide pins
Morning all,
Just a quick question, apologies for the ignorance of it!
I recently changed the pads and disks of my 25 with no problems, my uncle knowing this asked me a question and for the life of me I can't remember the answer!
He wants to change his disks and pads on his 25, but read somewhere that the caliper slide pin bolts need turning clockwise to remove, but from somewhere else that it was anti clockwise, ironically I can't even remember which way I turned them when I did mine, he's worried about snapping a bolt which I can understand.
Second thing is he's changing the disks on his daughters renault all dismantled and going well apart from the disk is corroded on one side (otherwise was simple and has been finished). He was tried the rubber mallet, the using bolts to try and draw it off the hub, but each time he does it strips the bolt heads and he's back to square one. Any ideas of how to loosen it?
Thanks all
