mgf heater matrix wont bleed and being wierd

bought an 01 1.8 mpi mgf a week ago for wife... sent a long day today servicing it.

cleaned all coolant system out thoroughly,, dont want to think about the water meter cost.

main problem heater matrix. bleed nipple was very blocked. removed it, acetone soak and cleared blockage but i still cant bleed to matrix. engine warm, heater on no'4 and hot.. hot air comes out vents in car... loosen nipple, no water comes out. remove nipple and you get a steady amount of hot air blowing out of the hole constantly.. turn the heater fan off and it stops blowing air out of the hole.. left engine running and bleed nipple off for 5 mins, still just blowing warm air out...

had a poke around in the hole, cant imagine how it could be blocked..

any suggestions?



next weekends project cam cover gasket after finding oil in spark plug holes.
