Replaced coil packs....

The purpose of this thread is to literately list out all the symptoms I've had that have now gone once replacing the coil packs, was totally surprised how much difference its made and I want to ensure that should someone else be experiencing a similar set of issues, when they use the search feature this thread will show up to help out.



So my car had the following problems (which for various reasons I thought were separate issues):



1) Rough running when cold

2) Kangerooing, bouncing, misfiring when cold

3) Backfiring when cold

4) Cutting out when cold

5) Problems restarting engine



All solved by replacing the coil packs. I had replaced the HT leads to no affect, so am guessing that either one or both the packs were on the way out, possibly letting in moisture until the engine warmed up.



Even now though, when warm, the engine is smoother and feels so much better.



In fact, I can proudly say that my car is now performing what I feel to be around 20-30% better than when I first bought her.



Now to tackle the rattles.
