Exhaust replacement question. 220D.

The MOT is coming up in a few weeks and I've got the parts I need, everything other than the cat was rotten/blowing. Anything I should bear in mind for doing the job? I'm not exactly looking forward to getting the pipe between the turbo and the cat out.
