Aircon, strange defect

Got weird problem. Start the car, aircon works fine for 10 mins, then stops working. Turn off, turn on, aircon immediately works fine again for ten mins etc. Had it serviced recently following a leak fix. Gas obviously in system, thought over pressure, but can't understand why stop/ start would immediately make it work again. Anybody any thoughts?
