Grass Track car Non Runner
Ok, I have got a 2001 rover 25 1.4, interior totally stripped out, after market fuel tank and pump wired to a battery cut off switch, last outing the fuel pipe in the engine bay came off and flames everywhere under the bonnet, fire put out within a minute.
Problem now is, engine turns over, compression ok, spark at plugs good but injectors refusing to open to allow fuel in, car runs on easystart, Brown wire to injectors (live wire) ok four earth injectors wire all ok back to the ECU, made a test lamp to check wires are ok.
Immobiliser is turning off ok, lamp off on clocks and engine turns over, if immobiliser was on the engine would not turn over.
Impact switch removed and wires joined together to stop it cutting out.
Is there anyway of checking the earth outputs to injectors are working?
Have tried with old injector wiring loom permanent earth and live to injectors but without any results.
Suppose to be racing at Coastal raceway in north wales on Sunday if I can get it to run, and I will only race rovers because they are good race cars.
All suggestions welcome
