Head Bolt Tightening
I am about to reassemble the engine in my 1.4 petrol MG ZR following HGF. I have bought the uprated oil rail and head bolts. While I understand that the tightening sequence will not alter, will the procedure for tightening these change as they are uprated items? (Standard is 20nm then 180degrees then a further 180 degrees) I know there is some debate as to the benefits of the uprated oil rail on the 1.4 but I wanted to try to go the belt and braces route even if it was a bit more cash. The head gasket is a Payen elastomer unit as the liners were uneven and were only marginally proud of the block.
