New acquisition 45 Impression 2001
Well we finally got one, not quite the spec I had hoped for but the offer was too good to turn down, a 2001 45 Impression in British racing Green (HFF) with under 20,000 on the clock. Although it has no service history to back this up the MOT history strongly suggests it's correct:-
It has some paint issues as the front passenger door has been scraped, probably at the same time the mirror was broken hence the blue cover!!, and it had not been cleaned properly ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of swirls ad scuffs to make less and better.
It has been washed and vacuumed but seriously needs detailing to bring it up to a good standard. I shall give the paint a once over with a surface restorer then wax it until we can get it sorted.
Of course it needs some TLC. The cam belt and water pump have just been changed and we should get a copy of the invoice. It also looks like the head gasket has been done according tot eh mechanic we use. It's running rough on idle so a service, plugs and air filter will be done and just my luck on the way back from town the A/C compressor seized so we need to find a good replacement and get it sorted. It will also need new centre and rear sections tot eh exhaust. Not being used causes them to rust stil from the inside. had it on a Kwik-Fit ramp yesterday to check the underneath and it looks good except for the exhaust.
MOT's until June 2015 and taxed until October 2014 we gave £450 for it.......................................... so not too bad.
