Clunk

Been having trouble with an annoying metallic clunk noise for a while now, but was hard to pin down & sounded like it was coming from somewhere O/S rear.

Finally pinned it down, it's the body hook that's loose not the bolts but the hook itself. Looks as if it's pressed into the bracket not welded and over the years has worked loose. Glad it's not anything serious. It was knocking when I shut the rear O/S door but when I opened boot to let the wife have a listen it didn't do it, so I knew then what it could be. Checked the boot catch & found it ok, then the body bracket which was moving slightly & bingo.
