mk2 bodykit question

can anyone please confirm the difference between a mk2 1.8 with a 180 bodykit and without.



I.e did they have different gearbox ratio due to bigger wheels , were the suspension components the same or lower?



I ask as I like the 180 kit but wonder if its simply stuck onto a zs by mg rover or if there are underlying mechanical changes also.
