ZT competition car

Had an enjoyable weekend watching a single venue Tarmac rally. Cars varied from Subaru Imprezzas to Mk 2 Escorts to Peugeot 205s. even a MK1 Cortina and an Anglia.



Started thinking about the pros and cons of a ZT clubmans rally car. As far as getting a good shell and reasonable engine, these are now so cheap.



Would it be reliable ? engine yes, gearbox yes. clutch would be a problem. Given that this would be a rally car could any mods be applied to do away with the integral slave cylinder ?



OK the car is heavy but by the time you remove carpets, sound insulation, door cards and any other unneccesary heavy bits it could be quite nimble.



Any one see any pitfalls ?
