front lower suspension bush ?

just wondered if anyone else has had to change the bushes on the front lower arm, my daughters 05 ZS inner bushes are shot and i mean the rubber is mashed, i could push out the metal centre. the outers arent as bad but i can see day light through between rubber and inner metal. this was causing a metal tapping sound sometimes such as climbing a kerb or similar to park up.

the reason i am asking is i have never needed to change these before on any rover i have owned including a mk1 vitesse that was 18 years old when i finished using the car. after 18 years all the bushes were original, i only change drop links, anti roll bar bushes and shocksn

as i said its my daughter and she doesnt live at home, being a girl she said she hadnt noticed anything lol. the same as the knackered rear brakes, a stop light bulb and srs light on haha.
