tyres

hi every one

My rover 45 has got the 16" alloys as standard and the tyre size is rated as 205-45-16 and I know through my garmin that my speedo is slow by about 4 mph and I was thinking could I fit 205-50-16 tyres instead and would that correct the speedo or would it make it too fast

If any one would know it would be one of you lot

I would like to hear from any body who has tried it
