ZT 1.8t Fuel Consumption.
Completed my second brim-to-brim fill up consumption check today.
Took exactly 59.99 litres with the trip showing 344. That's 26mpg.
Yes, not very good but consider this, for this tankful the car was never driven for economy, quite the opposite. I frequently used full boost for acceleration and I mean frequently. So in consideration of this, I am quite pleased with 26mpg. I was expecting nearer 20 mpg.
For this next tankful, I will try my hardest to exercise restraint and drive with economy in mind at all times. That will be difficult for me as the boost with turbocharged petrol cars is addictive ...
I shall just have to summon up some willpower from somewhere and deploy that for the next 400 miles or so in the car. That will not be easy ..
I expect high 30s maybe even 40 mpg which has been achieved on a run in my 1.8 NASP ZS 120+....
Be interested to hear what other owners get from their 1.8t MGs and Rovers.
