Exhaust removal

So I've started to remove my old TF exhaust so I can fit my new one but hit a sticking point just as I was running out of light too! So rather than getting my hair off with it I thought I would stop for today and ask..........

Everything is loose except for where the back box attaches to the cat.

I've been advised to chop the nuts off which means there is no permanent connection now, however I still can't get the connection to split, any ideas?
