MG ZR 1.8 Stepspeed - Cylinder Head Gasket
Hello All,
I've recently purchased a 2003 MG ZR 1.8 Stepspeed with 66000 miles and a suspected blown head gasket.
The engine is forcing coolant out of the header tank after only a handfull of miles, so I'm looking to change the head gasket, water pump, thermostat, timing belt, etc.
I've recently changed a head gasket on a 2003 1.4 Impression due to a simillar fault. I used a Victor Reinz MLS gasket [one piece only - no shim] and head bolts. It's done 1000 miles since without fault, the coolant level has remained constant and it's never missed a beat.
For the MG ZR, would a Victor Reinz MLS gasket and head bolts be the ideal choice? There are more CHG options than I'd previously realised.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
