Why do they not tell the truth .... vendors
Have been looking for a couple of the LE Multispoke wheels so one can be balanced to clear the AP caliper and then be carried as a spare as right now if one of the fronts is punctured I am stuck. The steel spare won't fit and as the "expert" at Vale Road Tyres refused to balance the rears as requested the position of the stick on weights mean they cannot turn due to fouling if fitted to the front. The reason fro wanting a couple is in case of wheel rim damage on the dreadful roads around here.
Noticed a set on ebay listed at £100 so made contact and did a deal on reduced carriage. They arrived this morning. The listing clearly says:-
However on unwrapping them two of the tyres are nearly on the wear marks!:-
the other two have 5.6 mm left:-
Do they honestly think the buyer won't check the condition???????
I know they are budget tyres but I was intending to have them re-balanced and try "Elsie" out with the on to see how they handle and how she feels with a set of four of the same tyres fitted instead of the mis-matched pairs she is runnnig at the moment.
The Chancellor took the purchase on the CC well and the tin helmet and flack vest was NOT required ................................. phew.
The rims have some curbing damage so will see about getting a pair refurbished so at least "Elsie" can be driven while this is done. Then get another pair done. It was planned to get "Elsie's" wheels done at some point anyway.
Just disappointing the description .................................... "Sigh!"
