VVC exhaust louder than MPi?

Noticed an odd thing with the exhaust that is now on the MPi it's quite a bit quieter than it was on the VVC.

"Blue 33" the MPi was still on it's original exhaust with the N/S tail pipe missing and now a rust hole underneath on the O/S. Noticed at the MOT that "Elsie" my VVC had a broken hanger on the GTX exhaust box..................... not good for the test. Insecure exhaust system........ Well the week before I had bought a new Bosal box to go on the MPi but not tackled the job as yet so as "Elsie" failed on emissions and after a bit of diagnostics revealed that the Lambada was not switching as it should a new one and CAT was purchased.

As I had to take the front/down pipe off the get at the Lambada and noticed a manifold leak so that came off too decided might as well fit the new system to "Elsie" as already had a new front/down pipe that I saw cheap the other month so bought it ready for the change over.

Now on "Elsie" the VVC the GTX box has quite a rasp and over 4000 RPM got a real snarl on but on "Blue 33" which is a 120 BHP MPi it no where near as noisy. It's not unpleasant and sounds like a sports car but it's lost that snarl that it had when fitted to the VVC.

Has anyone else noted that the MPi is quieter overall?
