Check engine light with ! on it illuminated

i changed my glow plugs and forgot to plug the FIP back in so when i tried to turn the car over i got a warning beep and realised what it was. so plugged it back in and the MIL light with the ! in it is permanently on.



my code reader won't read the code. is there a way of clearing it?
