FBH to parking heater help.

Hello all.

Ive been reading about FBH installs for quite some time and have grasped most theory of how to do an install. However, I have found a lot of the threads on this and "the other" forum a little vague and some have dead links and missing images because they are quite old posts.

So... last week I purchased a used FBH with the webasto 1530 timer.

I also got part of loom for the 6 pin connector and the timer connector.

I have installed the FBH and it runs perfectly when I short pin 3 to ground so i'm pleased with that.

Now for the parking heater and timer part...

I will wire this in to a permanent live maybe taken from the stereo or power socket/cigar lighter. I will add a 1amp inline fuse to protect the timer. When i test and press the flame button I get a 12v feed from the timer.

From what I understand I need to use this 12v feed to activate a relay. The PIN 3 cable needs to be connected through this relay and to a suitable earth. When 12v feed goes to relay it activated the coil and closed the circuit hence making the pin 3 grounded. Correct??

Now i've read about using a 5 pin relay and did a drawing to try and get my head around it. I seem to have and extra terminal (87a) surely a 4 pin would work but would need to be "always open" type? is there a correct term for this?

Ive also read about adding a diode.... here I get a bit lost.

Any HELP would be great I'm not great with electrickery.

Anyhow heres my diagram of My understanding of the relay.

I'm also stumped with how to wire up the Air con system to warm the cabin and defrost the windscreen. I do know that the Pin 4 gives a 12v output when the FBH is running, not really sure what to do with this though.
