disaster-looks like turbo exploded....

Hi,

52 plate 150k on clock.

on way home tonight got about 2-3 miles away down Aroad when on overtaking lorry( all in about 2 secs) lost power and revs started climbing from about 2800-3500 when I dipped clutch and turned ignition of. engine turned of after about 2 seconds. so obviously to my mind at the time turbo gone and overfueling on oil. great.

pulled over, it was dark 22:40, so could not see a lot but torch showed fair amount of oil on bulkhead/ coolant pipes etc source appears to be from actuator??.

in morning day light-its taken me till know to get home by rac-i shall jet wash area take it all apart and hope it is just a split oil pipe or something, but I think we all know the outcome.

worst case another turbo circa £50-100 so not total disaster just inconvenient this time of night. car of road know till sorted and given its my work car and I do about 2.5-3k pcm, I gotta use my family car know kia Sedona which really aint as good on fuel.

let you know how I get on but any experiences or helpful suggestions welcome. Thanks
