heater pipes r25 td

the r25 I have bought has had the egr blanked off,but the pipes for the heater don't look right as when at speed the heat seems to get cooler in the cabin,the pipes for the egr seem to loop back on them selves so in affect its bypassing the heater valve

any or pics or help would be appreciated very much
