Improvement in slow speed braking

I never liked the way the brake pedal felt since we bought the car. Basically there was nothing happening when the pedal was pressed until after quite a big shove. I tried to convince myself it was down to new disks, EBC yellow stuff pads, and the ATE super blue fluid, but always had a sneaky feeling it was something else.

The other weekend I took the rear calipers apart, and found both the lower sliding pins (one on each side) were frozen into the carriers. Freed and cleaned both, re-greased and new boots, and now the car actually has breaking when I first press the pedal. Amazed at the difference the two frozen pins makes! A useful job to have completed!
