High pitched noise

Another request for help.

When I am sat in driver seat I can hear a high pitch whine noise that is coming from engine bay Not fan belt.

If sounds like a pump. When I go under bonnet I can't find the noise. In fact I can't really hear. But as soon as I'm in drivers seat I can hear it.



A strange one this - but has anyone idea where I start to look?
