The Abandoned Rover
Thought id start a little thread for my rover, its probably not going to have many mods, more just maintenance and repair, maybe a few subtle touches.
it seems that no one actually likes driving this particular rover. i bought it off a guy at work who never actually drove it and it had just been stood for 6 months and he bought it off a old guy who never really used to drive it.
all it needed was a lambda (although probably didnt even need that as the eml has come back on) and a m.o.t was mine.
drove it for about 6 months and then it started loosing water, spent a fair bit trying to sort it, new pump and cambelt. still leaked and then started boiling over.
so i bought a new car and the rover was once again ''abandoned''
pictures do it justice, it was just left in a public car park for 6 months
arch started rusting
this is where it starts
washed with autoglym shampoo
clayed with bilt hamber
then used megs ultimate compound
then srp
then finished with turtle wax for metallic paint
tyres dressed with megs endurance
plastics boiled linseed oil
plans:
get the bloody boiling over sorted
new pads and discs
do cv boots
rear boot leak (suspect rear light seal)
new tyres
tint fogs yellow
