Eelectrical problem!! Please help

The car was fine this morning, then on the way to work, I noticed the windscreen wipers going everytime I put the right hand indicator on. This kept happening. I left the car all day in the car park. Then came to start it, that was fine. but then it cut out and I started it again. On the way home it was like the voltage was fluctuating all the time. Lights going dim and then bright. Also I noticed the driverside rear side light is not working. At one point the right hand indicator was going too fast. At one point on the way home everything cut out and went black and then came back on straight away. The flucuating brightness carried on till I got home. Got out to take some stuff in the house. Locked the car, then returned to find I couldn't unlock it. I could with the key. Then I could re'lock it. Did it with the key and the alarm started just doing random beeps..... Now its sat there and I can't unlock it with the key fob. Anyone got any ideas?!! :-/
