high beam stays on

hiya all, bit of problem, just recently have noticed that my high beam is not dipping when stalk is moved towards driver? I have xenons on a cdti. So question is please, does the stalk control the high beam, or does the stalk control a relay that controls the high beam? Have searched but not found anyone else with this problem, thanks Nick
