New and needing advice

Well good people I have finally bit the bullet and bought a 2001 MGF Trophy, however a couple of things concern me. Looking at insuring the car many companies only value the car at approx. £1000. The car is 2001 and only has 35,000 miles on it in excellent condition, which insurance companies do you recommend that will realise the true value of the vehicle? Secondly the Hydrogas suspension what happens when it goes wrong can I still get parts? or do I have to modify it with Suplex, if so how does this affect the car?
