rover 45 heater cold

Hi guys had problems with the car heating up the blower was cold aswel I was advised thermostate had it checked it's fine it's had a new Honda heater matrix within 2 years so can't see it being that. Although anything is a good idea at this point I know resistor is a common fault can anyone recommend anything to check

having a coolent change aswel incase it's a air lock



Car takes a good 8 miles to get upto around 85 and the heater dosnt really get hot till cars been running a long time
