MG ZS TD with HGF; what's it worth?
Hi guys,
I'm probably getting shot of my MG ZS 2.0TD, as it's got signs of HGF, and just trying to sound out if it's worth anything to anyone as it is? I don't particularly want to break it (don't have time and it's currently taking up space on my parent's drive, as I live in a flat), so I'd rather someone came and drove it away.
I bought it in April 2013, and had 6 or so trouble-free months of motoring in it before the cambelt snapped. I then had the head replaced on the cheap (the head and the parts were all good but I shouldn't have trusted the bloke doing the work), and the head gasket went after a couple of months. I had it all put right by a trusted garage in March 2014, and all was good again until last month (Dec 2014), when it started losing coolant and overheating again. Garage did a sniff test on it and there are exhaust gases in the coolant...
Anyway, facts are:
- It drives fine at the moment (drove it 130 miles the other day, lost a bit of coolant but didn't overheat)
- MOT expires April
- Everything works on it
- Currently has SDIs fitted
- New battery fitted in November
- Mileage is 105,872
- Bodywork is in overall pretty good, one major scrape on o/s front bumper
- Tear in driver's seat bolster
- Alloys are a bit tatty
So should I stick it on eBay and see what I get?
