saab valve, heater loss

hi. today my mk2's heater stopped working.

car temp is fine have lost no water. both rad hoses warm/hot so assuming thermostat working.

has the saab valve failure occurred?

it has been fine up till now the loss has happened v.quick. the speed I drive at has no effect on temp of blower.

any advice greatly appreciated. cheers.
