Creaking Sound

Hi there guys,



I own a lovely 2005 ZS 110+. When I start my car in the morning and move off,the intial movement makes a creaking noise which sounds like it's coming from around the off side front wheel. Then when I brake the noise becomes even more creaky. This goes on for around 10 minutes. Once my car has warmed up the noise disappears. I have spoken to my mechanic,he specialises in Rovers,who said the noise was probably due to the road salt clogging up the suspension .... not sure about his thoughts. What do you think ?
