MG TF 1.8 immobiliser problem

hi guys I know you lot are the fountain of all knowledge so I need some advice.....My TF has been off the road for a few years after a monumental clutch failure,so have spent the last few years modifying and improving as best as possible along with replacing all nuts and bolts to stainless and a serious amount of powder coating. so today was the first time I have hooked everything up and with crossed fingers turned the key......and it started!!!!! 1st go and immediately...yeyyyy! s I ran it to temperature and bled the coolant,checked oil levels(had a bit of a drip coming off the sump but I`ll fix that!) so anyways I left it for an hour and went to show the missus when she came in and to revel in the sound of the TT mk7 exhaust and well a massive anticlimax....nothing happened!!!! I know I initially unlocked with the key when starting it and locked and unlocked later with the fob...so is it the 5as box having my life and if so..what do I do!!!!
