Upgrading brakes on mg tf
Hi all,
Just need some advice regarding brake upgrades for my mg tf.
I've decided not to go down the route of the 4pot ap calipers as I do not want to use spacers as I currently have the 16" hairpin alloys.
I do not want the 16" multispoke alloys that the 160 uses.
I'm looking at upgrading the discs from 240mm to 280mm and know there are a few kits available.
Fronts are simple enough, but the rear can I increase them to 280mm aswell, if not why not?
I understand a bit about brake bias etc but if the standard are 240 all round with the difference being caliper piston (48mm front as opposed to 38mm rear) wouldn't that still be fine as I'm only increasing disc size equally.
Would the rears even fit or would I get problems with the handbrake?
Thanks in advance, already checked other posts and info I've found are contradictory at best.
