Mg zr Boot will not open. Hook?

So my boot will not open with the central locking i have noticed the lock does not fit my key ether so seem like some one has put a new lock in. I bought the car months ago and all worked fine but a put a pram in the boot and after that it would not open i need to climb in and undo it from the inside every time.I unlock the car and can hear the boot click so that there is power going to it but i have noticed there is a loss hook going to no were





You can see it under neath the screw the rust hook were does this attach to ?? I have the pic on google but its the same hook. I attach it you can see from the pic i found on google there looks to be a snapped bit? if i attach the hook into the broken bit the boot will not shut.
