mgf 1998 radiator/fan problem

Hey I wonder if anyone else has had this problem.recently my mgf has been overheating and I have to put the heating on full.also now I think about it I used to hear the fan come on and recently I haven't hurd it so I'm starting to think it either isn't working or isn't kicking in... does anyone know why this may be happening?
