No Heat

Hi all.Once again thermostat housing is leaking.Had 5 fitted in 9 years,plus a new rad .coolant level is normal.sometimes the temperature gauge starts to rise above the normal level & if i turn the car sharply it drops back to normal.Sometimes the cooling fan is on nearly all the time,but there is plenty of coolant in the system.However the automatic heating system is only blowing out cold air.Is it an airlock?

The cooling/heating system has never seemed to work properly.even when seemingly working normally,after about 25 mins it would blow out cold air.

any ideas would be much appreciated
