Tem Gauge not working

Yesterday my Tem gauge stopped working, so this morning I had a look and found a wire flapping about, now this wire had been cut about and did not have a plug on it only a male terminal, on further looking I found a Blue sensor with two female terminals, having looked at a thread on this forum I have come to the conclusion that this Blue sensor is the one that feed's the Tem gauge, so my question is;

1 should I have only one wire,

2 If I should only have one wire which female terminal should the wire be fitted too?



I only ask as it seem's that at some time some one has replaced the blue sensor and would have an Idea as to the answer to my question.
