Big clutch issue.. PLEASE HELP!

Hello. I'm new to the forum and did search for advice before posting.

While I was driving, my clutch pedal got quite heavy (heavier than normal) then changing down to second, it wouldn't go in, I knocked it into neutral and lifted my foot to re-engage the clutch but the pedal stayed down on the floor and didnt come back up.. I was on a busy roundabout at the time!!

I coasted off of the next exit luckily!!!!

My uncle is a very good mechanic and helped me change the master and slave cylinders for completely new ones but he realised while fitting slave that the rod coming from it had to be fully extended to reach the bit it pins into and was forced over a bit to the left. While bleeding the clutch, the rod from the slave hardly moved. The little movement it had seemed to be pulling it out further towards the gear box. The clutch pedal wasn't developing pressure either while trying to bleed it but fluid was making it through from the master.

If anyone could please help with any suggestions to a solution I'd be very grateful!... I want my little MG back!! :(
