fitting new backbox

After a fair while searching, i've finally got hold of a stainless piper backbox, so i can get rid of the standard exhaust with its rather large hole!

so, a couple of quick questions on fitting, as i've never changed anything exhaust related! i've bought new stainless nuts and bolts so they won't get corroded, though i'm somewhat apprehensive on getting the old ones off! i'll be drenching them in penetrating oil first!

1. Which type of gasket should i get? there seem to be a couple of different types that i've seen, http://ift.tt/1BVugQA these standard Rover ones, and http://ift.tt/1xysxLy these funny looking ones, which will do the trick better?

2. should i use any form of jointing paste, people seem to disagree on whether to or just a bit of copper grease, what's the consensus for our cars?

3. should i get new rubber hangers? i guess it's a case of look at them and see, but are they generally replaced when changing a backbox?

thanks!
