Fitting a PRT to a 97 MGF??

OK the new PRT and hoses arrived, bought them from South Lakeland Mini Centre and it's a little confusing as to how it connects up. A web search didn't help much but am now thinking that i have to remove and discard a "Y" piece as I cannot see where it would go plus it has soem sort of snap connector and the MGF does not have one of these. This "Y" piece is on the hose which I am fairly sure connects to the engine steel water rail.



Wise words and even better photos would be appreciated :) .
