I wasn't expecting that, but what do i do?

I out checking the lights on my Pug derv as the MOT is up next week, and on of the lads for the nearby allotment came up to me. He knows i'm into my cars (there's enough metros on the drive). Anyway it transpires that his next door neighbour has a red ZT that he going to give to the scrap man tomorrow, and this gentleman thought I might be interested in it for parts, as he only wants £60 for it.

I have just taken a walk past the car and done a quick DVLA car data check. It's a 53 plate 2.5 v6 ZT+ auto. In the dark it looks mint. The MOT expired in the middle of last month. Running costs and needing 2 new front tyres meant it wasn't re MOT'ed.

My problem is I already have a ZT190 in my collection and I don't have space for it, but at that price how can I let it pass. I have looked on the bay of E and spares or repairs make between £200 for non runners and £500 for more desirable models etc.

If I buy it and it's as good as it looks in the dark, i'll not be able to let it go, or break it for parts, so i'll be stuck with it

The wife said she'll buy it for me for Easter, what do I do?
