Maybe a leak?

We had rain today first time since i've had the car. Looks like i have a leak from the bottom of the door mirror. I never opened the passenger door and when i looked over at the base of the mirror where the 2 screws are there was water. Is that a common problem. I say this as i've only one out of 4 little plastic screw caps in place.
